The Names of The Reburied Remains of 2400 Native Americans

Our very own Jim Franks who has turned a neglected field into an historical beautiful park. The plaques contain the names of 2400 Native Americans originally buried at the Santa Cruz Mission.  During our visit, we happened upon two women searching for their lost relatives.

Old Holy Cross Cemetery Grounds The grounds of the cemetery are weeded and planted with olive trees, redwood trees and flowers. The headstones have been replaced and repaired.
